He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerard Cornelissen and Nellie Cornelissen Sr. (Matthee); and his brother Herman Cornelissen. He is survived by: his wife Joyce E. Cornelissen of West Lafayette; his children, Madonna Cornelissen (Edward Andrewlavage) of Corning, NY, John Cornelissen (Gail) of Franklin, TN and James Cornelissen (Kristin) of West Lafayette, IN; his siblings, William Cornelissen (Roberta) of Shelby, MI and Mary Chile (Sam) of Elk Rapids, MI.; his sister-in-law Roberta Cornelissen of The Villages, FL.; his grandchildren, Ariel (Spencer), Ross (Megan), Nick, Sean, Eric and Shannon; and his great grandchildren, James Peter and Nora June.
