He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Alting and Nancy Alting (Watkins); and his siblings, Nuel White (Mary), Frank "Bo" Alting Jr. (Estelle), John Alting (Ruth), Jaletta Goodman (Coy), Betty Rishel (Floyd) and Charles.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Joanne Perkins; his children, Kelli Jo Thayer (Stan), Tammy Kay McCall (Jeff) and Scott Curtis Alting; his great grandchildren, Cooper and Leighton Hise; and his nieces and nephews, Caroline White Morris, Carla White Griego, Sandy Marvin (John), Cheri Alting, Frank Edward Alting III, Mike Alting (Bonnie), Ron Alting, Gail Rishel Davis, Linda Coons (Rick), Allen Rishel (Julie) and Karen Blosser (JR). He is also survived by three granddaughters.
