He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Paul Shewmaker and Caryl A. Shewmaker Brown (Ready); his wife Jann; and his granddaughter Kelsey Shewmaker. He is survived by: his children, Marc Aldrin Shewmaker (Colette Weitknecht) of Hobart, Kathleen Jann Shewmaker (Sue Long) of Lafayette and Kristin Linnea Schmidt (Fred) of Gilbertsville, PA; his grandchildren, Alexander Shewmaker, Brynn Schmidt and Mallory Schmidt; his great grandchild Alaina Shewmaker; his sister Nancy Whitcomb of Monticello; his stepbrothers, Jerrold Brown (Alba) of Bonita Springs and Charles Brown of Grand Rapids, Michigan.; and also, Harry Hall Holtsclaw (Jamie) of Plainfield, Sam Creech (Tommy) of Connersville and Amy Holtsclaw of Fountain City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ellie's Retreat Home, Wesley Manor Good Samaritan Fund, or Wesley Manor Employee Appreciation Fund.
