She was predeceased by: her father John Demerly; her husband Kenneth L. Rooze; her siblings, Bernard, Ed, Frances, Ben, Harold Demerly, Viola McNaughton and Rose Mary Schaible; and her grandson-in-law Chad Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Lou Johnson of Lafayette, Barbara K. Benjamin (James) of Lafayette, Charles M. Rooze (Jenny) of Lafayette, Cheryl M. Malsch (Thomas) of St. John, Cathy J. Kochert (Steve) of Clarks Hill and Trudy A. Tull (Jeff) of Lafayette; and her grandchildren, Joy Jarvis (Mark), Michael McGuire, Angela Trop (Jeff), Brian Benjamin (Jeanne), Todd Benjamin (Cara), Wendy Bell (Trent), Nick Rooze (Sara), Tara Seaburg (Wade), Tim Rooze (Kristen), Amanda Malsch (Tricia), Valerie Smith-Rozanski (Jason), Nathan Malsch (Derrick), Amber Wykoff (Cory), Drew Kochert (Danielle), Ryan Kochert (Rachel), Kory Cobb (Scott), Neal Tull, Jenna Childers (Shane) and Maggie Castro-Tull (Dani). She is also survived by 44 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Rosary and Altar Society, St. Mary Church or charity of the donor's choice in Helen's memory.
