With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen L. Thomas of Lafayette, Indiana, born in Heyworth, Illinois, who passed away on March 25, 2022 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Coy Oscar; her husband Doit Burl Thomas (Barney); her daughter Sharon Lynn; her nephew Kenneth Wilson; and her siblings, Ava Wilson, Gladys Rustemeyer, Dorothy Barbee, Roy Young, Ozzie Young and Bobby Gene Young.

She is survived by: her sibling's children, Janice Wynn (Junior), Anita C. Brooks (Jerry), Donna Barbee, Carol Barbee Bennett (Robert), Mary Barbee, David Wilson, Michael Rustemeyer, Richard Rustemeyer, Mark Rustemeyer, Steve Young and Jerry Barbee.

Memorial contributions in Helen's name may be given to Apostolic Faith Assembly Church, 2323 Shoshone Court, Lafayette, IN 47909 or Lafayette Mentor's Executive Dr. Suite 1, Lafayette, IN 47905 and Alzheimer's Research.
