He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Balser and Edna Balser (McKinney); and his former wife Phyllis Whitlock. He is survived by: his children, Buddy Balser (Ashley) of Lafayette, Melissa Balser (Kris Sipple) of Lafayette and Sonya Balser; his stepdaughter Jessica Walters; his siblings, Barbara Gerken (Larry) of Lancaster, OH, Diana Bowman of Lancaster, OH, Dwayne Balser of Lafayette and Stanley Balser of Lafayette; and his grandson Ryan Balser.
