He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Martin Bouwkamp and Jennie M Bouwkamp (Korschot); his former wife Rosemary Burkhouse; his wife Norma Leuck; his siblings, Wayne Bouwkamp (Barbara) and Wilma Jounker; his children, Pamela Linder (Denny) of Brookston, James, Douglas (Gwen) of Fort Worth, TX, Daniel (Janet) of Lafayette, Donald Leuck, Jennifer Eberts, Gene Leuck, Paula Meluch, Jerald Leuck, Briant Leuck and Kathleen Brower; and his grandchildren, Shane Dahnke (Tiffany), Lucas Bouwkamp (Jessica), Tammy Ford, Bruce Bouwkamp, Nathan Dahnke (Laken), Cameron Bouwkamp and Wesley Bouwkamp (Jesse).

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
