He is survived by: his children, Jan Richardson (Roger), Barb Schumacher (Carl) and Greg Richardson (Sandie); his daughter-in-law Barbara Richardson; his grandchildren, Sarah, Gemma (Rachel), Adam (Megan), Brian (Wenxin) and Lauren; his great grandchild Ava; his stepson Mike Farrington (Laura); and his stepgrandchildren, Scarlett, Sterling, Skylar and Savanna. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra.
