As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlyle Edward and Dorothea E. Whistler (Garrison); and his wife Betty. He is survived by: his sons, James A. Whistler of Little Rock, AR, Sean M. Whistler of Lafayette, Christian R. Whistler (Erica) of Lafayette and Kiff Whistler of Lafayette; and his sisters, Madonna Whistler and Juanita Whistler. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
