He was predeceased by: his parents, R. C. Gross and Norma Gross. He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Gross; his son Chad Gross (Heidi Wiess) of Rockville, Indiana; and his grandson Cale Gross. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer (250 N McKinley Ave, Rensselaer, IN 47978). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mary T. Klinker – Lafayette Veterans Charity Jim will be remembered for his love of racing, baseball, his family, and the many memories he made throughout his life.
