She was predeceased by: her parents, Oran Sanders and Mary Sanders (Parker); her husband Charles E. Niccum; and her brother Thomas Sanders of Lafayette. She is survived by: her son Ronald E. Niccum, Sr. (Brenda) of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Ron Niccum Jr. (Jeanna) of Lafayette and Rebecca Smith of Lafayette; her great grandchildren, Evangeline "Angel" Niccum, Dakota LeAnn Bender (Luke) and James Smith; and her great great grandchild Naomi Lynn Bender.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church in Joan's memory.
