He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Horan Sr. and Margaret T. Greenan Horan; his brother Dennis P. Horan; and his son Michael F. Horan. He is survived by: his wife Ann G. Horan; his children, Bridget Anaya (John) and Nathan Horan (Natalie); his daughter-in-law Claudia Horan; and his grandchildren, Emily, Liam, Isabella Horan and Xander Anaya.
