He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Shoaf and Violet Shoaf (Nash); his wife Jeanette Sietsma; and his siblings, James Shoaf and Anna Sell.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph E. Shoaf (Julia) of Naperville, IL, Jana Zeiler (Richard) of Sheridan and John Shoaf (Barbara) of Alvin, IL; his sister Linda Corr of Maryland; and his grandchildren, Stephen, Allyson, Katherine, Abby, Cole, Levi, Frankie, Sam and Luke. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Heartland Community Church (3900 E 300 N, Lafayette, IN 47905). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
