He was predeceased by: his father Lester Veron; his wife Rita Ann Simpson; and his brother Ray Hicks. He is survived by: his children, Stephen Hicks (Tami) of Wingate, Teresa Farney (Lee) of Lafayette and Jennifer Taylor (Tim Siple) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Sarah, Travis, Lexy Farney, Josh, Jake, Justin Hicks (Nikki), Brayton Taylor, Samara Spitznagle (Brett), Eli and Landon Siple; and his great grandchildren, Akirrah, Aspenn, Armani Evans, Aubrey, Anabelle, Ava and Abi Hicks.
