With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret L. Smith of Lafayette, Indiana, born in Perry, Iowa, who passed away on May 18, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer A. Roberts and Francis Roberts (Workman); her daughter Carol A. Vasquez (Ricardo); and her siblings, Mary Jane Henry (Bert), Doris Roberts, Katherine Edmondson, Beaulah Woody, David Roberts (Barbara), Melfred Roberts and John Roberts (Eleanor).
She is survived by: her husband James A. "Smitty" Smith of Montmorenci; her children, Teresa L. Hunter (Charles), James M. Smith and Tracy J. Funkhouser (Thomas); and her grandchildren, William "Billy" Brand, Charles III, Chantal Clark (Casey), Terra Funkhouser, Jacob Vasquez, Josue Vasquez and Ricardo Vasquez Jr.. She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
