As Marlene departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Marlene. Though Marlene may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Robert A. Burton, Sr., Pat Howard (Norman) and Wayne Burton; and her niece Ida Phillips. She is survived by: her sisters, Charlene and Judith Burton of West Point; and her sister-in-law Joann Burton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hippensteel Funeral Home (822 N 9th St, Lafayette, IN 47904). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
