She was predeceased by: her parents, Orris A. Collins and Bernice V. Collins (Batchelor); her husband Marvin "Duane" Smith; her sons, Jeff Smith and Tony Smith; her sister Phyllis Collins; and her brother-in-law Harry Snyder.
She is survived by: her daughters-in-law, Julie Smith and Shana Smith; and her siblings, Carol Snyder and Dick Collins. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Simplicity Funeral Care (1608 Schuyler Ave, Lafayette, IN 47904). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
