He is survived by: his family Marty; his wife Kathy of Louisville; his children, Todd O'Brien (Anne) and Aubrey Whaley (Troy); his grandchildren, Mae O'Brien, Jack Whaley and Lily O'Brien; and his siblings, Dennis (Joanie), Kathy (Jim) and Maureen (Annie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Walt's Pub & Grill (1050 Kalberer Rd, West Lafayette, IN 47906).
