It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Charlene Bowman of Lafayette, Indiana, born in Pearl River, Louisiana, who passed away on June 3, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Bush and Agnes Bush (Riney); her husband Raymond Donald Bowman; her brothers, Charles and John; her son-in-law Herman Smith; her grandson Steve Dunham; and her great grandchildren, Brett DelRosario and Aden Alois.

She is survived by: her children, Diana Smith, Karen King (Gery), Sheryl Werts (Thomas), Debra May (John), Kenneth Bowman (Sandra) and Laura Bowman; and her sister Norma Bush Burton. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Alzheimer Association.
