She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Salazar and Glafira Gandara; her spouse J. Guadalupe Gaeta Pallares; and her siblings, Martha, Salvador, Luis, Juan Manuel and Maria Petra Salazar Gandara.
She is survived by: her children, Flavio Gaeta (Diana), Alicia Castaneda (Pedro), Bernardo Gaeta (Elena), Victorina Del Real (Jose), Abel Gaeta (Donna), Javier Gaeta (Eva) and Castolina Alvarez (Juan Antonio). She is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hippensteel Funeral Home (822 N 9th St, Lafayette, IN 47904). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament (2224 Sacramento Ave, West Lafayette, IN 47906).
