He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Boatman and Ellen Boatman Robinson (Briar); and his siblings, James "Jimbo" Robinson and Vicki Reed. He is survived by: his wife Judy Emery of Lafayette; his children, Michael Boatman (Tracey) of Lafayette and Tracy Sondgeroth (Kevin) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Justin Sondgeroth of Clarks Hill, Baylie Boatman (Brock Derhammer) of Lafayette and Taylor Smith (Dustin); and his great grandchildren, Walker Derhammer, Avery Derhammer, Baylor Smith, Braxton Smith, Blake Garrett and Nikki Gallivan.
