She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville F. Alford and Pauline Alford (Leger); and her sister Sherry Lee Alford. She is survived by: her children, Michelle Helms (Greg) of Lafayette and Steven Winandy (Danielle) of Gurnee, Illinois; her grandchildren, Nathan Winandy, Lillian Helms, Trevor Winandy, Colette Winandy and Katelyn Helms; her brother Joseph Alford (Susan) of Bloomington, Illinois; and her nephew Troy Alford (Xueting) of San Diego, California..
Peggy loved flowers and everything beautiful, but in honor of her lifelong lung disease, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Lung Association.
