We announce the death of Phyllis Marie Parks of Lafayette, Indiana, who passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 74. Phyllis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Bouldin and Mary Bouldin (Scott); her granddaughter Haley Robertson; her great grandchild Cooper Bending; and her nephew Jed Shoemaker.
She is survived by: her husband Dennis W. Parks of Lafayette, IN; her daughters, Susie Bending (George), Wendy Ames and Cyndy Meadows; her siblings, Alma Shoemaker of Rock Island, TN, Mary Ann Schaper (Tim) of Rock Island, TN and Bud Bouldin (Mary) of McMinnville, TN.; her grandchildren, Travis Tyler, JaeDee Tyler, Taylor Bending, Justin Bending, Kaje Ames and Sarah Woosley; and her great grandchildren, Emerson, Urijah, Oliver, Paizlee, Liam, Reezyn, Nash and JayDen. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel (400 Twyckenham Blvd, Lafayette, IN 47909). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
