He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick T. Stivers and Frances L. Brand Stivers; his brothers, Freddie and Gary Stivers; his niece Angie Maitlin; and his grandson Trey Sprankle.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia L. Young; his children, Amanda, Andrea and Christopher; his grandchildren, Raymond and Emma; and his siblings-in-law, Marge Stivers, Larry Young and Lynn Young. He is also survived by four nieces, six nephews, nine great-nieces and seven great-nephews.
