He was predeceased by: his parents, George Daniel and Rosene Beck Schurr; his siblings, George, Walter, Alfred, Paul, Raymond Schurr and Helen Cors; and his cousin Hans Sailer.

He is survived by: his children, James Richard "Jim" Schurr (Suki) of Keene, CA, Gerald Lee "Jerry" Schurr (Peggy) and Ruth Ann Schurr Higgins of Lafayette. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Presbyterian Church or the Exchange Club of Lafayette.
