As Rita departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Rita may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Rita leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Behne and Margaret Behne (Wolfarth); her husband Gerald Zachariah; and her sons, Mark Zachariah and Michael Zachariah.
She is survived by: her son Stephen Zachariah (Patty) of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Sara Zachariah of Washington, Anna Zachariah Welscott (Doug) of Central America, Matthew Zachariah of South Carolina and Marshall Zachariah of Lafayette; and her great grandchild Harper Zachariah.
