He was predeceased by: his wife Judith Neville O'Bannon. He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey (Marianne) of Albuquerque, NM and Andrew (Katherine) of Louisville, KY; his grandsons, Alexander Strausbaugh, Benjamin Strausbaugh and Nathan Strausbaugh of Louisville, KY; and his sons, Jarrett Strausbaugh and Ryan Strausbaugh of Albuquerque, NM..

He served several terms as president of the Park Board and served on the Lafayette Parks Foundation.
