It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roy C. Hanthorn of Lafayette, Indiana, who passed away on July 7, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Roy E. Hanthorn; his wife Jeanne Harbath; and his siblings, Paul Hanthorn, Dorothy Schultz, Mary Anne Morrison and Barbara Buckles.

He is survived by: his children, Curtis of Lahaina, Keith (Becky) of Lafayette, Clint (Kristy) of Lafayette and Kelly Carroll (Patrick) of Lafayette; his siblings, Cathy Daniel, Patsy Greenburg and Daniel Hanthorn; his grandchildren, Trent Hanthorn (Kristen), Trista Crone, Tabitha, Tania, Lynette, Aydan Hanthorn, Crystal and Gabe Yarberry; and his great grandchildren, Brayden Corns, Mason, Benjamin Crone, Connor, Jordan, Emily, Lindsay Hanthorn, Mary, Becca and Evelyn Walck.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

“I had an immense amount of respect and admiration for Roy. Barb informed me that, when his father passed away, Roy suspended his high school education to obtain employment in order to support his mother and seven younger brothers and sisters. Roy was an example for everyone. He never used foul language, gossiped, nor spoke in harsh terms. I knew him to be a very humble and religious man and a person that I will always be proud to have known. He's now with God and the angels where he belongs”
