With sadness, we share the passing of Roy Dennis Plantenga (Lafayette, Indiana). Roy, born on February 28, 1934, passed away on August 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; his parents, George Plantenga and Cena Plantenga; and his siblings, Martha Agnew and George Plantenga.
He is survived by: his children, Todd Plantenga (Eileen) of Livermore, CA, Ted Plantenga (Georgia Robbins) of Cocoa Beach, FL, Tammy Henley (Rick) of Palm Harbor, FL and Tracey Lehman (Jeff) of Galena, OH; and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Greg, Scott, Kate, Molly, Caleb, Jon, Mario, Leila and Millie.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Community Reformed Church (2501 S 18th St, Lafayette, IN 47909). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Reformed Church.
