He was predeceased by: his father Floyd Patterson; and his brothers, Freddie and Jeff Patterson. He is survived by: his children, Samuel D. Patterson, II (Yuki) of Davidson, NC, Adam W. Patterson (Dana) of Davidson, NC and Jessica L. Patterson of Lafayette; his sisters, Donna Patterson and Ann Morehouse (Richard); and his close friend Dianna Buntin. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
