He is survived by: his children, Shawn Alkire, Jr. (Michelle) of Lafayette and Jessica Alkire of Lafayette; his stepson JD Sliger (Angie) of Lafayette; and his brother Father Timothy Alkire of Lafayette. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
