He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard C. Jr. Sharkey and June Sharkey (Engleking); and his niece Beth Anne Sharkey. He is survived by: his brothers, Thomas Sharkey of Merrillville, IN, Robert (Dawn Sharkey) and Chris; his sisters-in-law, Heather Sharkey (Michael) of Momence, IL and Cheryl Sharkey of Thayer, IN.; and his uncle Mardele Engleking of Grant Park, IL. He is also survived by one niece, five nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
