He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Smith and Jean Smith Graham (Jones); his stepfather Robert Graham, Sr.; and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Smith (Sanderson); his sons, Robert and John Smith of Lafayette, IN; his siblings-in-law, Marge Hutchinson of Muncie, IN and John Sanderson (Betty) of Lafayette, IN.; his grandchild Stacy; and his great grandchildren, Henry and Hannah Umlauf of West Lafayette.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Child Adult Resource Services in Rockville, IN Hippensteel Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
