She was predeceased by: her parents, Minor Chaffee and Helen Chaffee (Metzinger); her husband O. Leroy Martin; and her son Roger Lee Martin (Lee Markwell). She is survived by: her children, John D. Martin (Bobbie), Caryn A. Franchois (Greg), Patrick L. Martin (Susie) and Jacqueline K. Graham (Phil); and her siblings, Carl Chaffee (Shirley), Dolores LaBaw (Lonnie) and Bonnie Coffman. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Vera's name may be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
