She was predeceased by: her father James Hanlin; her husband Dr. Edward Emerson; her son William Hanlin Emerson; and her brother Robert Hanlin. She is survived by: her sons, Barry Emerson (Rebecca) of West Lafayette and Bruce Emerson (Annette Burgess) of Cincinnati, OH; her sisters, Connie Chickerella of Columbus, OH and Eleanor Lee of Clearwater, FL; her grandchildren, JT Emerson (Sarah) of Lafayette and Mark Emerson (Norma) of Indianapolis; and her great grandchildren, Brinley Kate Emerson, Cameran Grace Emerson and Lucas James Emerson.
