He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Neal and Lucille Neal (Gallinger); his wife Kathleen Sulfridge; his daughters, Cheryl Wingate and Gail Marconett; his brother Tommy Neal; and his grandson Joshua Whitaker.
He is survived by: his sons, Joel R. Neal of Lafayette and Brian Neal of Ft. Wayne; his son-in-law Steve Marconett of Brookston; his grandchildren, Charlie Wingate, Kali Bledsoe (Kyle), Sarah Neal, Natalie Neal, Matthew Neal and Elizabeth Neal; his great grandchildren, Kobie Whitaker (Danielle Brinson), Achilles and Leo; and his great great grandchild Kaia Whitaker.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Salvation Army to benefit the Monticello and White County area.
