He is survived by: his children, Pamela A. Burton (Mark) of Lafayette and Wendell Bryan Whitaker (Gail) of Lafayette; and his grandchildren, Jessica King, Emily McFadden (Zach), Amy Ford, Kyle Whitaker (Addison) and Bradley Whitaker (Maddison). He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, 9 children and is survived by 3 sisters.
