William B. Knable Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of William B. Knable of Lafayette, Indiana is shared. William, born on March 19, 1947, passed away on August 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Knable and Ines Knable (McClure); and his granddaughter Ally Knable. He is survived by: his wife Dickie Sue Lee; his children, Kelly Jones (Thomas) of Lafayette, Bill Knable (Christie) of Venice, FL, Matthew Knable (Debrah) of Knoxville, TN and Patrick Knable (Kristen) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Billy Knable, Maureen Walls (Ben), Will Jones (Canaan), Maddie Knable and Theo Knable; his great grandchildren, Sofia, Winnie and Dean; and his siblings, Nancy Foster (Terry) of Henryville, IN and Dennis Knable (Sharon) of Australia.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Soller-Baker Funeral Home (400 Twyckenham Blvd, Lafayette, IN 47909). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, August 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church (1916 Meharry St, Lafayette, IN 47904).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bill's honor to Lafayette Catholic Schools.
