He is survived by: his wife Pandora "Penny" Hughes of Howe, Indiana; his children, Fredrick Oakley (Stephanie) of LaGrange, Lisa Miller (Darrel) of LaGrange and Andrew Oakley (Christine) of LaGrange; his grandchildren, Miquela Gephart (Joshua), Jade Millis (Christian), Courtney Caldwell (Joe), Saryna Jasper (Bryce), Tanner Oakley, Draven Caldwell (Shawna), Kennedy Graber (Brenden) and Whiteny Ray; his great grandchildren, Adalynn, Vinsyd, Easton, Alayna, Theo, Reid and Oliver; and his siblings, Joe Oakley (Lois) of LaGrange and Annie Green (Rick) of LaGrange.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Fred's memory to LaGrange Church of Christ.
