He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hose and Angeline Bernice Hose (Dickerson); his wife Shirley Hose; and his siblings, William Hose and Roberta Davis.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gale (Brad Wolf) and Ellen (Troy Wren); his grandchildren, Daniel Hose (Nunu Wilkins) of Poland, Indiana, Tonya Field (Chance Kaiser) of Coldwater, Michigan and Cody Field (Celeste) of Fremont, Indiana; and his sister Carol "Joan" Ambler of Belleview, Florida..
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hite Funeral Home (403 S Main St, Kendallville, IN 46755). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Lake Bethel Cemetery (1050 E 275 S, LaGrange, IN 46761).
