He is survived by: his daughters, Kitty Helmkamp of LaGrange and Colleen Williamson of Mt. Joliet, TN; his grandchildren, Grant Helmkamp of Toledo, OH, Kendra Helmkamp of LaGrange and Dana Helmkamp of San Diego, CA; his stepchildren, Kim Beerbower (Matt) of Auburn, IN, Craig Conrad (Michelle) of Conover, NC and Kelly Hipskind of Auburn, IN; and his stepgrandchildren, Courtney Weller (Brian) of Garrett, IN, Mitchell Beerbower of Nashville, TN, Mariah Hipskind (Nate) of Auburn, IN, Tayler Leakey (Jimmy) of Auburn, IN and Seger Conrad (Whitney) of Conover, NC..
In leu of flowers, the family suggests giving a memorial donation in John's memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children or the LaGrange County Shrine Club Transportation.
