She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert P. Elliott and Catherine Elliott (Loy); her husband Robert A. Bates of LaGrange; her sons, Troy Bates (Britney) of Kendallville, Bryan Bates (Jamie) of Fort Wayne and Robin Bates of LaGrange; her granddaughter Ellie Bates; and her stepgranddaughters, Lilly Alejo and Luna Alejo.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Frurip-May Funeral Home (309 W Michigan St, LaGrange, IN 46761). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the LaGrange American Legion Post #215 Auxiliary.
