Mose J. Shetler Obituary
We bid farewell to Mose J. Shetler of Lagrange, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 14, 2025 at the age of 85. Mose touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Mose may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mose touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob L. Shetler and Amanda Shetler (Hershberger); and his wife Elizabeth Ann Wickey (Schwartz). He is survived by: his son Lonnie Shetler of Berne, IN; his stepdaughters, Lena Marie Hochstetler (late Andrew) of Homer, MI, Mary Alice Hochstetler (late Larry) of Nappanee and Verna Wickey of Hillsdale, MI; and his caregivers, Harley and Susie Fry. He is also survived by granddaughter, 20 step grandchildren, 37 step great-grandchildren, five step great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM and on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Harley Fry Residence (1850 N 250 W, LaGrange, IN 46761). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Funeral Harley Fry Residence (1850 N 250 W, LaGrange, IN 46761). A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at the Mast Cemetery (1085 N 250 W, LaGrange, IN 46761).
