He was predeceased by: his parents, Eduviges Serrano and Eleuteria Santiago Serrano; his former wife Hilaria Sanabria Serrano; his wife Juanita Serrano; his sons, Antonio and Eduardo Serrano; his grandchildren, Steven Serrano and Jennifer Lynn Serrano; and his sisters, Antonia Cintron, Carmen Rivera and Rafaela Serrano.

He is survived by: his children, Jose Serrano (Antonia), Danny Serrano (Audrey), Robert Serrano (Dean), Carla Serrano, Julia DeJesus (Antonio), Juanita DeValle (Jaime), Maria Wise (John) and Norma Martin (Mike). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
