James Rocha Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 6, 2025 we had to say goodbye to James Rocha of Lake Station, Indiana. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of James Rocha to show support.

He was predeceased by: his father Jesus Rocha; his brothers, Gabriel Rocha and Jorge Rocha; and his brother-in-law Albert Gomez. He is survived by: his mother Maria Rocha; his siblings, Fernando Rocha (Maria), Luis Rocha (Brenda), Terry Gomez, Dianna Miller (Michael) and Esther Baldazo (Jerry); and his sister-in-law Barbara Rocha. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel (5341 Central Ave, Portage, IN 46368). A prayer will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Latin Pentecostal Church (3950 Marquette Rd, Lake Station, IN 46405).

“While it has been a few decades since I lived in Lake Station, I was very sad to hear that James passed. What a great guy! I don't know if I ever saw him without a smile on his face. He brought a certain level of energy wherever he went and nobody had a bad day when James was in the group. Rest in Peace my friend, you will be missed by a lot of people. Whether we saw you often or not at all, knowing that you aren't around makes us all sad now.”
