She was predeceased by : her parents, Amelio Sr. Gonzalez and Liduvina Gonzalez; her daughter Monique Otero; her brothers, Amelio Gonzalez Jr. and Ruben Gonzalez; and her brother-in-law Ed Cartagena.

She is survived by : her husband Robert Otero; her sons, Robert Otero (Melissa) and Ryan Otero; her grandchildren, Liliana (Brian), Isabella, Analissa, Tatyana (Christian) and Elicia "Ellie"; her great grandchild Watson; her siblings, Alma Gonzalez, Nora Bravo (Hugo), Anita Cartagena and Albert Gonzalez; and her sisters-in-law, Silquia Otero, Gricelle Cardona and Olga Ortiz.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel (3781 Central Ave, Lake Station, IN 46405). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
