He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Sauer and Mabel Sauer (Smeltzer); and his grandson Michael Anthony Sauer. He is survived by: his children, Randy Sauer (Connie) of Lakeville, Danny Sauer (Cheri) of Lakeville, Jay Sauer (Justine) of Plymouth, Annette Einspahr (Tom) of Plymouth, Michael Sauer (Kelley) of South Bend and David Sauer of Lakeville; his grandchildren, Melissa Wade (Shawn), Jessica Sauer, Ashley Woodcox (Aaron), Corey Sauer (Ashlee), Nathan Sauer (Brittney Miller), Cindel Sauer, Colten Sauer (Amanda), Derrick DeWitt, Marissa Friar (Michael), Arianna Peak and Sade Williams; and his siblings, Joyce Gaines of Lakeville, Jane Sauer of Texas and Dale Sauer of Lakeville. He is also survived by 25 great grandchildren.
