She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred Wells and Mazie Wells (Criswell); her husband John Joseph Schaefer; her son Kye Lynn Schaefer; and her sister Dorothy Carpenter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shinda Farnsley and Johnna Blair (Glen). She is also survived by five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
