She was predeceased by: her parents, John Williams and Marjorie Williams; her son Johnny Bufong; her siblings, David Williams and Becky Ackerson; and her brother-in-law Marvin Ackerson.
She is survived by: her husband Jon A. Ruiter. She is also survived by four stepchildren; twelve grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
