He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl L., Sr. and Viola M. Stern (Hockensmith); his wife Emily B. Stern (Livingston); and his siblings, Ben, Jack, William, Earl, Frank, Herbert, Ernest Stern, Helen Bender-Spiker, Rose Marie Miller, Mary Ellen Sipe and Alice Leazier.
He is survived by: his children, Jacquelyn Benson (Bryan), Sherri Snyder (Jim), Mike Stern (Jill) and Wendy Denney (Michael). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and several stepchildren.
